Our Annual Review provides a detailed analysis of FOS’s achievements over the financial year. It follows the reporting requirements set out in ASIC Regulatory Guide 139, and includes a comprehensive analysis of the disputes that came to FOS and the outcomes of those disputes.
2012-2013 Annual Review
After four years of large increases in dispute numbers, FOS’s 2012-2013 annual review shows a pleasing reduction in disputes.
Overall FOS received 32,307 disputes in 2012-2013, down 11 per cent from the year before, and the number of disputes we accepted declined 5 per cent to 24,100.
2012-2013 Comparative Tables
The comparative tables present dispute statistics about financial services providers that are members of FOS. We produce these tables annually as part of ASIC Regulatory Guide 139.
For each financial services provider listed, the tables show:
- the likelihood of a dispute coming to FOS
- the average time it took to reach a resolution
- the outcomes achieved through our resolution process.
